About Me

My photo
Bob - Mind on Fire
I was introduced to Jesus in 1966 by a coworker and as I look back over the years I can say, “God is merciful and faithful.” During my first year as a Christian, I read (and continue to read) Andrew Murray, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Oswald Chambers, C. S. Lewis, Watchman Nee, and A. W. Tozer. When I read Bonhoeffer’s, “When Christ calls a man, He bids him come and die,” I believed it; I believed it then and I believe it now. When I first read Mark 8:34 – 38 I believed it; I believed it then and I believe it now. My first career was in commercial property management, where I served as a CFO and a COO. I have also pastored in MA and VA and served in marketplace ministries as well as with the Mockler Center for Faith and Ethics at Gordon – Conwell Theological Seminary. For a number of years I had a pro bono ministry to pastors in transition. My wife (Vickie) and I live in Little River, SC. We miss our puppies who are now in Narnia. I am available for pulpit supply, retreats, and focused teaching. Please feel free to contact me either via the “comment” section on my blogs or at my email address. I enjoy hearing from folks.
